Nicholas Melchior Obituary
Age 85, of Kennett Square, PA, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Pembrooke Health and Rehab Residence. He was the husband of Elizabeth Raytik Melchior, who passed away in 2000.
Born in Kennett Square, PA, he was the son of the late Nicholas C. Sr. and Mollie DiCrescenzo Melchior.
He was the owner of the Kennett Café in Kennett Square, retiring in 2004. Mr. Melchior was a member of the Italian -American Club in Kennett Square, and a social member of St. Anthony's Club and the Sons of Italy, both in Wilmington, DE. He enjoyed coin collecting, golf and was an avid Phillies fan.
He is survived by one son, Dennis J. Melchior of Kennett Square, PA; one daughter, Linda M. Harpe of Kennett Square, PA; one brother, Eugene Melchior of Wilmington, DE and two grandchildren, Michelle Harpe and Elizabeth Harpe. Mr. Melchior was predeceased by one son, Nicholas C. Melchior III.
Mr. Melchior's service and burial will be private.
