Orville K. Wright Obituary
Orville K. Wright

Orville K. Wright, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2017, surrounded by his family, at the Christiana Hospital.

He was born in Enfield, NC to the late William and Margaret Wright. Orville was a graduate of Casear Rodney High School where he was given the name "Hoss", a description that fit him perfectly. It means someone who was well liked by all who knew him. Orville followed in his brothers military footsteps and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1959. He served his country in the Korean War and while in the service, Orville was given many IQ tests because of his high intelligence. As a result of his time served in the Army, he was extremely patriotic. He worked for 35 years, retiring at the age of 75, from Farley Printing Co. Orville was a life member of the VFW and the American Legion. He enjoyed gardening, country music and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Hope Catherine and his siblings, Everette, Garlda, Edward Creighton, Arnesta, William James, Jr., Harold Bell, Vivian and Wilbur. Orville is survived by his sister, Audrey Lois Tweedy, his daughters, Faith Elizabeth (John) and Victoria Shevaun (Edward), his grandchildren, Ashley, Lexie, Sam, Heather, Brianna, Jeff and Brandon, his goddaughter, Karen, and many other family members and friends.

Orville wanted everyone to know "Whatever I didn't do and should have, I wish I had. Whatever I did that was good and/or right I'm glad I did!" He is finally at peace reunited with his daughter.
