Patricia C. (Morris) Keller, age 70, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully at home after a valiant battle with COPD, on Wednesday, June 29, 2016.

Patsy was born in Wilmington, Delaware on February 3, 1946, and was the daughter of the late Modesta (Weaver) Johnson and Frank Morris. At the age of six, she moved to Newark, DE and was a member of the Newark High School graduating class of 1964. Patsy would later attend Goldey Beacom College and the University of Delaware. In 1964, Patsy would meet her future husband, Bruce at Goldey Beacom and the couple was married on June 7, 1969. She retired in 2004 after 35 years of dedicated service from the New Castle County Land Use Department where she worked as a budget analyst.

Patsy was an active member of the Christiana United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher, church treasurer, finance committee chairperson and administrative board chairperson. An avid UD Football fan, she was a season ticket holder for over 40 years and was a member of the Blue Hen Touchdown Club. Patsy enjoyed cruising the Caribbean and her many vacations in Nags Head, NC. In her leisure time, she loved a good mystery novel and looked forward to mowing her lawn.

In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas "Tom" Morris; step father, Earl "Bucky" Johnson; and her mother and father-in-law, Earl and Wanda Keller. She is survived by her husband, E. Bruce Keller; daughter, Kristin S.M. Styer (Andy) of Palmyra, PA; granddaughter, Aubrey; sister-in-law, Millie Morris; nephews, Patrick Morris (Lisa) and Jeffrey Morris; niece, Dawn Morris; grandnephews, Chad Wilkinson and Sam Morris; and grandniece, Hannah Morris.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday morning, July 9, 2016, at the Christiana United Methodist Church, 21 W. Main Street, Newark, DE 19702, where a visitation for family and friends will be held from 9 am until 11 am. A committal service will be held at 11 am on Monday morning, July 11, 2016 in the chapel of the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christiana United Methodist Church, at the address listed above.
