Paul Gilbert Truax

Talleyville - Paul Gilbert Truax, age 77, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021 after a brief bout with cancer.

Paul was born September 16, 1943 to Ralph and Odelia Truax in Wilmington, DE. He graduated from P.S. DuPont High School in 1961 and the University of Delaware in 1965 before launching a successful career in IT and sales consulting. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and owned several businesses through the years. Paul led a Christ-centered life and played an active role in his church and his men's small group, Promise Keepers. He was a servant at heart, looking for tangible ways to improve the lives of people around him.

Surviving him are his loving wife, Beth Onderdonk Truax, his sister Janet Orme, his children Kathryn T. Pizzini (Ronnie), Paul David Truax (Anuradha), Kristy Truax Nichols (Robert), his children by marriage Jen Alzos Downs (David), and Lauren Alzos-Benke (Jordan), and his beloved grandchildren, RJ Pizzini (Margo), Jacqueline Pizzini, Nathan Pizzini, Roshan Truax, Siran Truax, Devan Truax, Emily Downs, Luke Downs, Eli Downs, Otto Alzos-Benke, and Spiro Alzos-Benke.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Odelia, by his first wife and the mother of his three children, Jacqueline T. Truax, and his second wife, Terry O. Truax who helped raise his youngest daughter.

There will be a visitation starting at 9 AM on Saturday, April 10, 2021, followed by a memorial service at 11 AM. Burial will be private. Refreshments to follow. The services will be held at Willowdale Chapel, 675 Unionville Rd., Kennett Square, PA 19348. Burial will be private.
