AGE: 88 • Wilmington, Delaware

Age 88, of North Wilmington passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Sant'Andrea del Garigliano in the Province of Frosinone, Italy, to the late Carminella (Mazzarella) and Domenico Rossi.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Pia was truly the matriarch of a loving family. Spending her early years in Italy, she later moved to Belgium with her husband and eventually made America her home. She will be forever known for the holiday traditions she passed to her daughters and grandchildren. She truly lived a full and wonderful life.

She was predeceased by her husband Vittorio Galasso, her sister Maria D'Arpino, and her son-in-law Salvatore Antignani. She is survived by her sisters Anita Iannattoni and Pasqualina Giase, both residing in Canada; her son Romeo Galasso (Mary Ellen), daughters Adriana Antignani & Antonia Rossi (Ferdinando), and her brother-in-law Romano Galasso (Sandra), all of Wilmington, DE.

Pia was blessed to have many loving grandkids. She is survived by Vincent Antignani (Victoria), Carmela Yeatman, Robert Antignani, Joseph Rossi (Danielle), Angela Smyth (Mike), John-Paul Rossi (Courtney), Vittorio Nicholas Galasso (Liz), Brandon Galasso & Joseph Galasso, and 13 adoring great-grandkids. All of whom loved their Nonna Pia dearly. In addition, she is survived by many caring nieces, nephews, and extended family, near and afar.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the many nurses & aids at Compassionate Care Hospice, especially Michelle Frey, R.N.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Friday, April 8th at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 901 N. DuPont St., Wilmington, Delaware. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11:00 am. Entombment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery.
