AGE: 61 • New Castle

Ralph P. Carello Jr., age 61, of New Castle, DE went home to be with the Lord on June 17, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Born to the late Stella and Ralph Carello Sr., he worked as a mechanic and crane operator for many years and was employed by Home Depot for the past 10 years. Ralph was a devoted family man, he loved and cherished his wife, children, and grandchildren. He loved his little Yorkiepoo, Zoey. He enjoyed cooking Italian foods. Ralph was a man of few words, but when he spoke, people listened. Ralph enjoyed watching Westerns, NCIS, and the Dallas Cowboys. He impacted many through his role as a coach over 15 years with the New Castle Little League Baseball program. He leaves a legacy of love with the many lives he has touched.

Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Matilda; his children: Renee E. Grajewski (Mark), Ralph P. Carello III (Denice), Michael A. Carello (Jaclyn Harrison), Taraanne R. Carello-Susi (Peter), and Kyle J. Carello (Sheila); his sister, Jacqueline Tier; special niece, Angela Tier; aunt, Cecilia Betts; 18 precious grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, Bently and Nicholas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Stella Carello, his sister, Georgine Carello, and his son Robert Swan.

A visitation will be held on June 23 from 6-9 PM and again on June 24 from 11 AM to 1:00 PM at the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd, Newark, DE 19702 followed by a service in celebration of Ralph's life at 1:00 PM.
