Robert Bruce Siter, Sr.

Newark - Robert Bruce Siter, Sr., age 75, of Newark, DE, went home to be with the Lord Monday, November 25, 2019. Bob was a 1961 graduate of Darby High School where he was affectionately known as "Sweet Bobby Siter". He was an avid basketball player. Family was everything to Bob and many memories were made vacationing at the shore and just being together. The grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him much joy. Bob was a former member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharist minister. He later was a faithful member of St. Hedwig's. The priests enjoyed many delicious meals that Bob prepared for them during special events. Bob was the former owner of Syter's Restaurant in Wilmington and managed several other restaurants in his career. He will be forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved him.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Eileen Siter; sons, Robert Siter Jr. (Roslyn) and Rodney Siter (Kim); daughters: Marianne Bonacci (Jeff), Peggy Morris (Frank), Eileen Arguelles (Andy); grandchildren: Niche, Shante, Rodney Jr., Nikki, Jessica, Amber, Robbie, Anthony, Robert, Gabby, JoJo, Angel, Nico, Alex, and Jada; great-grandchildren: Giana, Zoë, Aubrey, Gionni, and Landon; and brother, George Siter. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Catherine Siter; grandsons, Noxah and Elijaxh Palomo; and brother, William Siter.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2019, from 10-11:30 AM at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, 408 S. Harrison St. Wilmington, DE 19805 followed by Rosary Service at 11:30 AM and Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon. Burial will be private.
