AGE: 57 • Middletown

Robert Knox (Bobby), Age 57, Middletown, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 13, surrounded by his loving family.

Bobby grew up in New Castle where he met the love of his life, Charlotte. The two were very happily married for 31 years and have a son, Kevin. They eventually moved down to Middletown and developed an even larger number of close friends. Bobby took great pride in Kevin's academic achievements, as well as, his stellar soccer playing ability.

Knoxie, as he was also affectionately known, enjoyed spending quality time with his many close friends and family members. He was a loyal employee at Deacon Industrial for 16 years, where he served as the Warehouse Manager.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte; son, Kevin (Kaitlin); Mother, Joanne; brothers, Billy, Danny (Shirley), John; sisters, Mary Beth Russell (Paul), Anne Marie Guajardo (Ed), Donna Jean Powell (Joe), as well as , his many in laws, nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and countless friends. Bobby was preceded in death by his father Bill.

The family would like to thank Dr. Beardell and all the nurses on 6B at Christiana Care and also the Drs. and nurses at Sloan Kettering and Penn Medicine for their compassionate care and support throughout his illness.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, September 20, from 6-9 pm at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St. Middletown, DE. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 21 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 371 E. Main St. Middletown, DE. Interment will follow at Old Drawyers Church Cemetery, Odessa, DE.
