Ronald Daniel Rash Obituary
Ronald Daniel Rash

Wilmington - Ronald D. Rash, age 78, of Wilmington, DE, received his wings on July 7, 2018.

Dan was born in Wilmington on April 16, 1940, and raised by Robert T. and Marcia Rash. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Dan was a proud Vietnam veteran. While stationed in Wurzburg, Germany, he met the love of his life, Annelore, adopting her daughters as his own. In 1976 they were blessed with their 'angel' Angela.

Dan was always a 'Mr. Fixit' and Jack of all trades. Soon after retiring from Del Campo bakery (not being one to sit still too long), he started working at Delaware Park in security for several years.

Once he retired, again, Dan enjoyed visiting his ex-coworkers at DP, breakfasts and walks around the Farmer's Market, creating fine works of art in his garage, and church at St. Mark's on Sundays. Basically, he was just a very social man who loved to be out and about.

Dan is survived by his wife of 53 years, Annelore; daughters Karin (Frank), Ursula (Susanne) and Angela (Chris); grandchildren Frank (Jessica), Kathryn, James, and his baby doll Hayley; great-grandchildren Braydn, Kason and Ava. Also survived by a host of brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 11:00am at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday morning from 10:00 - 11:00am. Interment will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Dan's name to St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 1700 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19804. To send condolences visit: www.mccreryandharra.com.
