Rosina R. Marusco, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother,passed away peacefully on Friday, August 4, 2017 at her home in Forwood Manor Independent Living. She was 93 years old. Rosina was born on June 16, 1924 in Wilmington, Delaware. She is predeceased by her devoted husband of 65 years, Francis M. Marusco, her mother and father, Adeline and Matteo Rodolico, and her sisters, Ida Wysocki and Stella Crawford. She is survived by her four children, Lawrence Marusco (Lora), Eileen Lindbergh (Hal), Stephen Marusco (Susan), Loretta Russell (John), and six grandchildren, Spencer Marusco, Austin Marusco (Kim), Sophie Rose Marusco, David Russell, Michael Russell, and Andrew Russell. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Eva Vignola, and several nieces and nephews.

Rosina graduated from Wilmington High School in 1942 where she served as News Editor of the school paper, played the violin in the orchestra, and was a member of the National Honor Society. After high school, she attended Thompson's Business School. Rosina was then employed by Security Trust Company for ten years, first as a bank teller and then as a secretary to the Treasurer and Personnel Manager. She was a member of the American Institute of Banking and served as its secretary as well as Chairman of its Women's Committee. She was made an Honorary Lifetime Member of this organization. While working at the bank, Rosina met a handsome soldier in uniform, Francis Marusco. She and Francis married on November 12, 1950 and went on to have four children and to build a wonderful life together for 65 years. After staying home to raise her children, Rosina attended Goldey-Beacom College and returned to work in 1966 as a secretary and administrative assistant at Hercules, Inc. She was an active member of the Hercules Women's Club. Rosina was a valued employee and a dear friend to her co-workers for 35 years. She retired when she was 77 years old. Rosina was also a devoted member of St. Helena's Catholic Church.

Rosina lived life always putting others first, especially her children and husband. She believed in giving her best in all she did. She was kind, compassionate, and caring to all people, but in particular to those less fortunate than herself. She will be missed immensely by all those whose lives she touched, but especially by her loving family.

A viewing will be held on Monday, August 14, 2017 from 10am to 10:45am followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11am at St. Helena's Catholic Church, 602 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington. This will be followed directly by interment at Cathedral Cemetery, 2400 Lancaster Avenue, Wilmington.
