Obituary Condolences

Ryan A. Courter

AGE: 34 • Wilmington, DE formerly Sands Springs, OK

Passed from this life to his eternal home on September 17, 2015. Ryan was a graduate of Charles Page High School in Sand Springs and then joined the United States Navy. Upon his discharge from the Navy he worked as an artificial turf installation supervisor and then landscaper.

Ryan loved the outdoors; fishing and crabbing in Delaware's many locales. He was also an accomplished skier and enjoyed golf. Ryan played baseball with his brothers from a young age and always truly appreciated the sport. He devoted much of his time in Delaware to the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a member of Diamond State VFW Post #2863.

Ryan will be dearly missed by his father, Richard A. Courter of Portland, OR; his mother, Sharell L. Bunnell and his stepfather, Joseph (Butch) Masarik both of Wilmington. Also left to cherish his memory are his maternal grandparents, Philip and Barbara Lusk of Simpsonville, SC. Ryan as well leaves in sorrow his half-brothers, Justin and Jared Courter of Marienville, PA. Ryan is likewise survived by his uncle, Mike (Cindy) Courter of Moore, OK as well as his 3 cousins, Leslie, Jill and Mitchell. Ryan and Mitchell were especially close and thought of each other as brothers.

All services for Ryan will be private.

In lieu of floral tributes, donations can be made to Gift of Life Foundation via their website or the VFW National Home for Children also via website info.
