AGE: 85 • Newark

Samuel C. Stamper, born February 17, 1930, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. Samuel proudly served his country in the US Army from 1947-1952. After his service, he sailed tankers for 2 years at Sun Oil. He then was employed at Electric Hose and Rubber for 23 years before moving on to General Motors for 15 years, retiring in 1992 at the age of 62. Samuel was a lifetime member of Hall Burke VFW Post 5447 of Holly Oak, DE.

He is survived by his children: Leonard B. Evans, Maurie R. Cornelius, Terry L. Righos (Peter), and Tracy Moore; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Samuel was preceded in death by his first wife Marion and his second wife, Judi Santobianco, who was also his beloved longtime companion and friend.
