AGE: 89 • Kennett Square, Pa.

Stephanie M. Lalor, age 89, of Kennett Square, PA, formerly of Hockessin, DE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at Brandywine Senior Living at Longwood after a brief illness.

Stephanie was born in Newark, New Jersey, the daughter of Michael and Mary Masluk. She was a graduate of Bloomfield High School with a degree in Office Skills.

Stephanie was married to Bill, her husband and the love of her life, for over 67 years. She traveled by his side from New Jersey, Coral Gables, FL, Natick and Framingham, MA, Pasadena, CA, Hockessin, DE, Landenberg to Kennett Square, PA. She and Bill enjoyed golf and social activities as members of the Concord CC, Cripple Creek CC, Wyndemere CC (Naples, FL) and Kennett Square CC. She exhibited her skills with three hole in ones and rarely missed a Sunday round with Bill for over thirty years. She was a woman of strong faith, attending mass weekly at St. Mary's Hockessin.

Stephanie was pre-deceased by her parents and her sister Natalie McCoy.

In addition to her husband, Stephanie is survived by her sister, Ollie Masluk, Tom's River, NJ, and her children: Mary Lou Mongan (Ed) Houston, TX, Susan Lalor, New Port Richey, FL, Judy Poole (Wally) Charlotte, NC, Bill, Wilmington, DE and her grandchildren Kate McDonald (Jarett), Tricia Handza (Tom), Trip, Ted and Maddy, and three great-grandchildren, Ellie, Ben and Owen.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Brandywine Senior Living at Longwood for the exemplary care and compassion provided, and to Holisticare Hospice who made her final days comfortable and peaceful. Thanks to care managers Carla Payne and Erin Kershaw, Brandywine Elder Care Management. And heartfelt appreciation to our brother Bill for his considerate attention to Mom (and Dad).

Friends and relatives may call Monday, February 29 from 9 to 10 AM at Chandler Funeral Home, Hockessin, DE. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption, Hockessin, DE. Burial to follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery Ashland, DE.
