Stephen A. Leishman, Major, USAF (ret.)

Wilmington - Steve Leishman, 77, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2018 at his home.

Steve was a Vietnam War veteran and had a 21 year career in the United States Air Force followed by a career as a flight test engineer with the Boeing Company. Steve was an active member of the S.A.R., the U.S. Power Squadron, The American Legion, VFW, and St. David's Episcopal Church.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; his son, Stephen O'Neal; 2 grandchildren; his sister and brother-in-law.

A visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Sunday, January 13 at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike where a Masonic service will be held at 7pm (additional, overflow parking available in the rear parking lot of the Brandywine YMCA, 3 Mt. Lebanon Rd). A funeral service will be held at 11:30am, Monday, January 14 at St. David's Episcopal Church, 2320 Grubb Rd., Wilmington, DE 19810 where another visitation will be held from 10-11:30. Interment with appropriate military honors will be at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE. Donations in Steve's memory may be made to St. David's Episcopal Day School, or Boys' State, American Legion Department of DE, PO Box 7005, Wilmington, DE 19803.
