Obituary Condolences

Steven Shipe

AGE: 61 • Elkton, MD

Steven A. Shipe, age 61, of Elkton, MD, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, September 27, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Steve cherished time spent with his family and friends - especially on Holidays when he would make his famous holiday dinners. Steve was a loving father who truly enjoyed being able to coach his two sons all through their baseball careers from T-Ball through High School. Steve loved cooking and trying new recipes, watching old westerns, NASCAR and listening to country music. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed family vacations of camping, boating, and fishing. Steve always said he was a jack of all trades but Master of none and loved to tinker and fix things and was always eager to help someone if he could. Steve was very proud of his father and son who served in the Army and loved his Country. He was a proud soon to be Pop Pop and lovingly looked forward to it. He loved his wife Donna with all of his heart and cherished all the years they had together.

Steve is survived by his wife of 42 years, Donna J. Shipe; 2 sons, Robert S. Shipe and wife Heather, Jason A. Shipe (Donna); and sister, Fay Meredith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Kathleen Shipe.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 11 AM at Marshallton United Methodist Church, 1105 Stanton Rd., Wilmington, DE 19804. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675. For directions or to send an online condolence visit www.strano feeley.com
