AGE: 100 • Wilmington

Sue M. (Celano) DeLapo, longtime resident of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at Seasons Hospice at Christiana Hospital. She was 100 years young.

Born in Wilmington on November 1, 1915, Mrs. DeLapo was a daughter of the late Anthony and Nancy Celano. She dedicated her life to raising her family. Mrs. DeLapo enjoyed the ocean and the Jersey Shore. A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by all.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. DeLapo was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Samuel DeLapo. She is survived by her children, Angelo A. DeLapo, Sr. (Loretta), Florine I. Rosauri and Ann M. Kokoszka (Edward); sister, Nancy DiVirgillo; 15 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will be held at 11 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Seasons Hospice, 220 Continental Drive, Ste. 101, Newark, DE 19713.
