Terry A. Anderson

AGE: 57 • Newark

Terry A. Anderson, age 57, died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 2, 2016. Terry was born on December 26, 1958, in Wilmington, DE to the late Vera M. (Deysher) Anderson and the late Charles A. Anderson. Terry was a 1976 graduate of John Dickinson High School. Upon graduation, he pursued a career as a skilled trade welder at General Motors Corporation from which he retired after 26 years. He also had a successful career as a real estate agent for 23 years, most recently with Coldwell Banker where he remained until his death. His hard work ethic, charisma, motivation, and contagious enthusiasm earned him the prestigious America's Most Honored Professional's Award. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union 435 for 26 years.

Terry will be fondly remembered as a man whom everyone liked, respected, and admired. He loved and lived life to the fullest. One of his greatest pleasures was spending time with his family, friends, kids, and grandkids. Terry was very active and always gave 100% in all that he pursued. He loved traveling with his fianceé Debbie, as well as boating, softball, golfing, and bowling. Terry touched the lives of many, and he will be sadly missed by all.

Terry is survived by his fianceé of 24 years, Debbie Sianni; daughter, Tara Shofkom (Michael); son, Blake Anderson (Kimmie); step children, Anthony Sianni, Kristin Stevens (Jim), and Jordan Sianni (Victoria); and grandchildren, Valerie, Santino, Luke, Gianna, Jordan Jr. and Piper. Terry is also survived by his sister, Charlene Fanny; and many nieces and nephews. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John E. Deysher, Sr. and Ronald L. Deysher, Sr.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Sunday, July 10 from 2:00-5:00PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 11 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle.
