Thomas B. Watson Obituary
Thomas B. Watson "Ted" Teddy"

AGE: 99 • Formerly of Wilmington

Passed away peacefully at his son's home in Great Falls, VA on Thursday, March 10, 2016 surrounded by his family.

Born in Smyrna, DE, Ted was the son of the late William Thomas and Alice Marie (Woog) Watson. He served his country proudly in the US Army during World War II and was stationed at Pearl Harbor on the day of the bombing. Afterward, he graduated from the University of Delaware and worked as an electrical engineer for the DuPont Company until his retirement. Ted was an avid artist and often used family members' pictures and scenes of nature for his compositions. He was a former member of St. Barnabas Church. His wife of 54 years, Ema (Witzel) Watson, predeceased him in 2006.

Ted will be dearly missed by his children, Tom and his wife, Phyllis, of Long Island, NY, Steve and his wife, Marina of Great Falls, VA, and Rebecca Watson of Annapolis, MD; along with his beloved grandchildren, Alan Thomas Watson and Cassandra Taylor Watson who delighted him at every turn.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 23rd at 2 PM at St. Barnabas Church, 2800 Duncan Road, Wilmington. Burial will follow at the church after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Compassionate Care Hospice, 405 E. Marsh Lane #4, Newport, DE 19804 or Vitas Hospice of Northern Virginia, 1604 Spring Hill Rd. #450, Vienna, VA 22182
