Virginia M. Bonk

Virginia "Gini" (Young) Bonk of Odessa, DE, age 77 passed away on Dec. 28, 2020.

Daughter of John and Helen (Dresh) Young Jr. She was in the first graduating class of Dickinson High School in 1961. After graduation Gini moved to Washington DC to work for the FBI in a secretarial position. She then returned to Delaware where she worked for the DE State Police until her retirement.

In addition to her parents, Gini was predeceased by her husband Louis in 2015 after almost 50 years of marriage.

She is survived by her brothers John E Young III (Jack) of Dublin, OH and Ronald A. Young (Vicki) of Evansville, IN. She is also survived by nieces Mallory Lowe and Sterling Young of Evansville IN.

A private service will be held on Jan. 21st at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Faithful Friends, 12 Germay Dr., Wilmington, DE 19804. Visit Daniels-Hutchison.com to send online condolences.

It is with deep sorrow to hear of Gini's passing. May she rest in peace. She provided assistance on many occasions to the staff and investigators of the Delaware Board of Pharmacy and the Office of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs. She was a true professional. I knew "Gini" for many years during my career with the Delaware State Police and after. She was an outstanding secretary and a lived her life displaying only the finest attributes of a role model. She will be missed and always remembered.
