"Where could I go, but to the Lord…"

Ginny, a lifetime resident of Wilmington, DE, having resided on Kentmere Pkwy in her early years and later on Lincoln St for much of her life, went home to be with all those who have gone before her and into the arms of her loving Lord, God, and Savior on July 5, 2016. A loving mother and grandmother who loved, celebrated, and truly lived life… Although your journey here is complete, you must now move onto your next. Your memory, the moments each of us have of you, shall we cherish evermore; but until we meet again… AKA; Ginny and Syl, her loving partner of over 40 years.

For many years, Ginny worked in customer service although better known for her bartending at Kelly's Logan House in the 1970's and 1980's. She was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club.

Virginia was preceded in eternal life by her parents, Earl and Margaret Morris; husband, Frederick J. Pierce; daughter, Christina (Danny); and her dog, Sheba. She is survived and loved so by her partner, Sylvester Borus; children, Frederick Jr, James F., John (Lucy) Frank (Ani), and Matt (Marie); 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda, Maggie, Betty; and brother, Earl.

Heartfelt gratitude is extended to the doctors, nurses, and staffs of Genesis Hillside and Seasons Hospice for the exemplary care given to Ginny.

Thank you, Momma; for all you've done and given unselfishly. You are appreciated and always loved.

Goodnight, Momma. Sleep with the Angels. OXOXOX
