William Edward Zickgraf, well known as "Billy Z," passed away August 11,2016 at St. Agnes hospital in Baltimore, MD.

Bill was 56 happily living in Perryville, MD with his surviving wife Anita Zickgraf to whom he married December 22, 2000. Bill was born on December t 21, 1959 in Wilmington, DE his parents Ruthann Zickgraf and his late father Emmett "Zeke" Zickgraf. Raised in New Castle, DE with his two brothers Joe "Jr." and George Zickgraf. Bill is survived by his mother Ruthann; his brother Joe "Jr."; brother George and sister in-law Claudia. Bill also survives his son Billy and Kim Zickgraf their two children Kelsey and Marianna. Heather, Bills eldest daughter and her children Catherine, Justine, Gianna and Damon. And his 3 daughters Lauren Hildabrand and Cassie and Samantha Zickgraf Step children- Jimmy and Amber Akers - Johnathan and Hannah Akers daughter Poppy - Jeremy and Taylor Akers daughter Camille.

Bill was a long time employee for Allied Van Lines Bayshore; DE; North American Van Lines; CA; and was currently employed at Amtrak. Bill missed his calling as a comedian always making everyone laugh bringing smiles to people's faces. Bill a LIFELONG Jets fan always hoping to see them win another superbowl,won their preseason game to the Jaguars August 11, 17-13 the night of his passing. Along with football, Bill loved jazz music always listening to albums, going to concerts and meeting musicians whom he admired. He also enjoyed gardening, the beach, and Christmas when he'd always watch Charlie Brown, Christmas Story and The Grinch. Bill will be missed by all and his family will never forget his strong presence, overwhelming sense of humor, and genuine love of life.

There will be a celebration of life memorial at Police and Fire Rod and Gun Club at 100 Linstone Ave New Castle, DE 19720 on Thursday August 25, 2016 from 6pm to 9pm. Casual dress and all are welcome.
