Wilson F. (Ric) Buchanan

Wilson F. (Ric) Buchanan passed peacefully in his sleep on October 12, 2016 at Avow Hospice in Naples, FL. Ric was born in Wilmington, DE on August 11, 1941. He lived in Mundelein, IL and Marco Island, FL. Ric is survived by his wife of 47 years, Katherine Anne Buchanan; sister, Patricia B. Dycio; nieces and nephews: Jan Dycio, Chip Dycio (Becky), Kim Taylor (Johnny); as well as great (and great-great) nieces and nephews. Katherine Anne's family consists of two brothers: James (Sharon), Robert (Patricia) Fitzpatrick; and a sister, Mary Beth (Russell) Catania, and nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Brian Boyd and his family for their caring and support. Ric was involved with the YMCA for many years as a camper and instructor. He graduated from Wake Forest University, NC and was a member of the National Guard. Ric spent most of his career in the graphic arts industry. He retired from the position of president at the Mitsubishi Lithographic Presses USA. He enjoyed boating with his family and friends in Florida, Wisconsin and Illinois. A memorial service will be held on April 25, 2017 at 1:30 PM at the Garden of Hope and Courage, 2390 Tamiami Trail N., Suite 108, Naples, FL (239-434-6697). In lieu of flowers donations to Ric's memory may be made to any local YMCA, the American Breast Cancer Society, the Garden of Hope and Courage or a preferred charity.
