Patricia M. (Cartwright) Raker Obituary
Patricia M. Raker

AGE: 69 • Elkton, MD

Patricia Marie Raker passed away on Friday, August, 1st, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

After graduating from Henry C. Conrad High School, Pat began working at All American Engineering. She worked many years at the DuPont Graphic Center in Boothwyn, PA, and later at Citi Bank.

She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially during the holidays. Even with her long battle with Pulmonary Hypertension, it was hard to keep up with her during shopping sprees with her husband. Christmas shopping for her grandchildren and other family members was her favorite. Pat was known for dressing up on Halloween to give out candy and to visit her granddaughters' school. She liked collecting porcelain dolls and anything related to bears. IN recent years she became interested in baseball and football, rooting for the Orioles and Ravens. Her loving and kind heart will be sadly missed.

She was predeceased by her parents, Marion and Julia Carroll Cartwright, her brother, Paul Cartwright, and her sisters, Julia Knotts and Maureen Bunge.

Pat is survived by her husband of 36 years, Stephen W. Raker, her sons, John D. Raker, Jason S. Raker (Katie), her grandchildren, Amanda and Marie Raker, Samantha and Kyle Raker, her brothers, William, Joseph & Marion (Butch) Cartwright and by her sisters, Elizabeth Eysaldt & Mildred Hayden.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Angels Church, 82 Possum Park Road Newark, on Thursday, August 7th, at 11:30am. Burial will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE. Visitation will be held at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road Pike Creek on Thursday morning from 9am to 10:30am.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Pat may be sent to Guiding Eyes for the Blind, or to Special Olympics of Maryland,
