As a child I was in aye of my uncle. He was like a rock star to me. He was a sharp dresser, handsome we called him Billy Dee Williams. A man of mystery and adventure. Bruce inspired me to explore the world, try new things. I never heard a angry word or shout, just that smile that could calm the must hostile. I inherited that smile with less charm of course. He taught me there is a better way to communicate. A Bruce smile can go a long way.

I'm very happy that I had you as my Great Uncle I remember the time you came all the way to NC to just come visit me. I remember the birthdays that you made sure to attend upto my High School Graduation. You always had a great energy i don't ever recall a upset moment or unhappy moment with you. Every moment I've had with you they were all happy moments you had a smile on your face EVERY SINGLE TIME. You sat with me and my son Eli at Uncle Micheal house and just reminisce and shared laughs not many can say that. I say I'm LUCKY! I'm happy that I got to share those moments with you. You will forever be remembered Uncle I will forever miss you! Rest In Paradise.

My prayers to the entire family and we have lost a good one. What made him so special is how he was a great listener and you never felt judged. He was always smiling and had the ability to always give off positive energy. Let’s cherish his memory by smiling and doing good by all those we love and that are still here. Andre

What can I say that hasn’t been said? From the smile to the positive energy that radiates like the sun to bring warmth to the coldest room, no matter what I was going through when I seen uncle Bruce at that moment it didn’t affect me. Hey UNC inside joke few or none would understand, but from here to San Diego baby you were the reason.

Uncle Moosie, the man, the myth and the legend. I actually didn’t even know Uncle’s name was Bruce until High School, everyone knew I had a lisp so I couldn’t pronounce nothing correctly, so I always called him Uncle Moosie and he never corrected me about it hahaha. I always assumed he hunted a moose or something in that sort. My favorite memory is when he gave me and Preston harmonicas when we were in our adolescence and it drove my mom and dad crazy cause we swore we were Ray Charles. You will be missed Unc, heaven has a good one up there.

Christian Streett I am truly Grateful for having Bruce as a Brother in law for almost 30yrs! What's amazing is that I knew him in Junior High School. He was already Cool / Suave Ricardo back then when he was in 9th grade. His sister Faith was in 7th grade and so was I! Believe it or not, she became my first Girlfriend at that time* Fast forward 25 yrs. later she and I reunited! I became a part of the Brown / Rios family. My memories of Bruce are special and everlasting. We had a lot in common, and enjoyed many experiences throughout the years. It's been noted in all the posted tributes as to how much he Loved all of his family, and how he could light up a room. I can attest to that! Especially when it pertains to his sister Faith. They were close in age and close in supporting each other. They had a unbreakable bond. I can Appreciate that and Respect that! For we know that Faith has been a Blessing to us All. He definitely felt her care and comfort* You will truly be missed. R.I.P. my Brother!!

Dad...you were the most exuberant person I knew. So full of life, joy, love, happiness, kindness, smiles and that laugh, oh how I'm going to miss your laugh! That's what i loved about you the most, how you made me feel whenever I was around you. I always felt at peace and no worries in the world, because of all of the adjectives I used, burst through you like a ray of sunshine when you were in the presence of others! When i was 5 years old, I remember you coming to pick me up in Hollywood for the weekend to spend time with you, Paula and her son. I looked forward to those weekends. We had so much fun together. When I found out that we were moving back to Delaware to help take care of my Great-grandmother, I was excited knowing I was going to be with you again. I remember you bringing me some hair products, telling me how to use them to keep my hair moisturize and then doing my hair for me lol. You were always full of advice dad. In my childhood years and as an adult. You would give me advice on natural remedies if i was sick. Telling me the stuff grandma would use. Giving me a history lesson about Native Americans, We would talk about music, something we both LOVE! Although we didn't spend a lot of time together, due to us living in different states, the memories I have will last me a lifetime, but my fondest memory, was the day you met my family. My husband Andrew, your grandkids Promise and Timothy and the new addition, my granddaughter Ava. All of them felt that warm loving spirit I spoke of earlier. Dad you and I shared a love for each other whether we were near or far apart and I will forever love you with all my heart!❤❤❤
