ANGELO VARISCO Obituary
Mr. Angelo Varisco, age 88, died on Saturday, March 31, 2007, at ManorCare Health Services in Wilmington, DE.
Mr. Varisco was born in Wyoming, DE, on September 7, 1918, son of the late Angelo and Maria (Leggio) Varisco. An auto body repairman by profession, he owned and operated the former Morrison's Body Shop in Wilmington until his retirement. Mr. Varisco won many awards for his handmade knives and was also a talented leather-craft artist. In earlier years, he looked forward to hunting and fishing with family and friends. He enjoyed vegetable gardening throughout his life and delighted in spending time with his beloved grandchildren.
His wife, Ruth Lillian Johnson Varisco, died in 1985. He is survived by his daughter, Delores Ann Tharp and husband, William, of Newark; 2 sons, Robert Varisco and wife, Carole, of Milford, and Kenneth Varisco and wife, Sondi, of Atlanta, GA; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandson.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 4, 2007, in the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where friends may call after 10 AM. Interment will follow in the adjoining memorial park.
