Kathleen Brennan Obituary
Age 56, of Harrisburg, PA, beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister, passed away peacefully Friday, November 16. She was surrounded by loving family at the Hershey Medical Center.

Kathleen was born to Joseph and Doranne Brennan in Wilmington Delaware on October 1st, 1956. She graduated from Padua Academy in 1974. She was married to Frank J. Graeff, Jr in Wilmington and celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in May 2012.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Jr. ('75 Salesianum graduate); her son Frank III, of Washington DC; her daughter, Cara, currently a student at Temple University in Philadelphia; her mother, Doranne Brennan, of Wilmington; her sister Dr. Carole Brennan Miller, of Baltimore, MD ('76 Padua Academy graduate); her brother, Robert Brennan, of Silver Spring, MD ('88 Salesianum graduate); and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces throughout the country.

Kathleen received her undergraduate, graduate, and law degree from The George Washington University. She was a highly accomplished lawyer, working tirelessly for decades to improve health care through various organizations. Prior to moving to Harrisburg, she worked at the New Jersey Department of Health, as Director of the Uncompensated Trust Fund which assured hospital care to uninsured and indigent New Jersey citizens.

Here in Harrisburg, Kathleen served for a number of years as a member of the Board of Directors of the Community Check-up Center, a non-profit organization providing comprehensive health and wellness care to low-income women and children.

Kathleen served as a Girl Scout leader of Troop #2271 and a Majorette Coach at Holy Name of Jesus Parish. She was a loving wife and mother, a caring friend, a thoughtful intellectual and a wonderful role model.

A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, November 20th from 6 to 8 PM at Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 6011 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 6150 Allentown Blvd. Harrisburg, on Wednesday, November 21 at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Keith M. Carroll and Rev. Michael Murray, a high school friend of Kathleen and Frank, will be the co-celebrants. There will be a visitation prior to the service from 10-11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Checkup Center, 38C Hall Manor, Harrisburg, PA 17104. She also wanted all who are able to become organ donors.
