Minerva Harmon Obituary
AGE: 76 • Fairfield, NJ
Minerva A. Harmon, 76, of Fairfield Twp., NJ died on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Born in Wilmington, DE to the late Joseph B. Jackson, Sr. and Minerva Hodges Jackson, she was the wife of the late Joseph Harmon. Minerva had been a resident of Fairfield Twp. since 1962 and prior to that she had lived in Wilmington, DE.
Before her retirement, Minerva had worked for the Prudential Insurance Co. in Millville, NJ. She was a longtime active member of John Wesley United Methodist Church in Bridgeton, NJ and served as Community Usher.
She is survived by her two daughters, MaDonna Harmon of Fairfield Twp. and Vickie Sherrer of Fairfield Twp.; her four grandchildren, Joseph A. Harmon and his wife Melissa and KrisTiana D. McCowan, Destiney Sherrer and Lance Sherrer, Jr. and three brothers, P. Leon Jackson of OH, Arvon Jackson of DE and Robert Jackson of DE. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph Benjamin Jackson, Jr., Christopher Jackson and Howard Jackson and a sister, Evelyn Brown.
Funeral services will be held at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 90 Matthew Brown Way, Bridgeton, NJ on Saturday, December 19th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp., NJ on Friday evening, December 18th from 6 PM to 8 PM and at the church on Saturday morning from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
