He was born in Norwood, Pa. to Robert and Elizabeth Halliday. Ever since he was a little boy, Jamie loved going to work in construction with his father. He attended Interboro High School, where he played baseball, basketball, and football. Jamie earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Penn State. All through college, he worked with his dad every summer as a carpenter. He went on to graduate from the Delaware County Police Academy. Jamie coached his sons in baseball and his daughters in softball for the Norwood Athletic Club. He loved the outdoors. He loved skiing, hunting, fishing, and spending time in upstate Pennsylvania. He also loved working with his dad building things. He loved creating something beautiful. Jamie is preceded in death by his sister, Shanna Halliday Michael. He is survived by his five children, Hallie, Michael, Zachary, Olivia, and Kyleigh; and his parents, Robert and Elizabeth Halliday. He will be greatly missed by all those who were lucky enough to know him. Jamie was known for his sense of humor, and although life was not especially fair to him, he never lost it. I had the opportunity to coach Jamie in little league and have known his family for 30 years or more. He was such a great person and will always be in my eyes. My condolences to the Halliday family.
