Dr. Joseph N. Brancato, 97 Of Media, PA, formerly of Morton, PA Dr. Joseph N. Brancato, 97, on December 26, 2012. Beloved husband of the late Monica Brancato (nee Bilas). Born to the late Joseph and Mary Louise Brancato (nee Tessuro), Dr. Brancato attended South Philadelphia High School, graduated from Temple University and received his doctorate from Penn State University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and proudly served his country during World War II. Dr. Brancato was inducted into the South Philadelphia High School and City of Philadelphia Hall's of Fame and was also a Southern High Alumni inductee. He was the Vice Principal of South Philadelphia High School and West Philadelphia High School. Dr. Brancato was a great athlete and loved tennis. Loving father of the late Lisbeth Stamoulis, Dr. Brancato was the last surviving sibling of his 7 brothers and sisters. Survivors: His grandchildren Nicholas Joseph Stamoulis and Alyssa Ann Stamoulis; also his brother-in-law Dominic Costanzo and his son-in-law Nicholas John Stamoulis. Service: Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass Saturday 11 AM Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 2130 Franklin Ave., Morton, PA. Viewing in Church 10 to 10:50 AM. Interment Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions is his memory to St., Philadelphia, PA 19107 would be appreciated.
