One of my favorite teachers that always made each and every class enjoyable. I also had the pleasure of working with Mr. P for a few summers on the Ridley township painting crew. Great guy, always upbeat and pleasure to be around. Still have fond memories of Mr. P after all these years.

I first met Mr. Pentimall years ago when my kids joined Leedom Little League and he was part of the Opening Day festivities. We became friends ever since. I later caught up with him at the polls when he passed the torch and always had a nice chat about a lot of things. He was always engaging with lot's of hugs and well wishes. He always had a compassionate soul and always made me feel like we were family and I knew him forever. I will miss him for now he is with God. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Mr. P was a wonderful and amusing History teacher at Ridley South, where I attended in the mid 70's. He turned boring facts into interesting conversations. He made learning fun. I remember how he used to crack his knuckles all of the time. A habit that I picked up from him that drove my mother crazy. R.I.P. Mr Pentimall

Mr. Pentimall, Coach Pentimall, a great educator and inspiring coach! From being a 7th grade student in his geography class and a runner on his Ridley Junior High track and field team, I have been affected all my life by his positive nature and his finding the good and strength in those around him. I never forgot him. As the worst runner on his team, he still took moments with me to encourage me to stay on the team and inspired me to think that I possibly could become a real runner. Coach Pentimall launched me into track with the dream of simply getting better. But he had such an positive effect on me that 5 years later, as a senior at Ridley High School, I won the Pennsylvania State Championship in the 2 mile! I have always attested that without Coach Pentimall encouraging me to stick with the sport, I could not possibly have done it. I even continued Coach Pentimall's special exercise routine that I did on my own at home which made me stronger and faster all through high school. And his tremendous influence on my life continued to the Air Force Academy where I was able to become an All-America. I always have and forever will call him Coach or Mr. Pentimall because I still look up to him. As a man, I know that I am not his peer, and it makes me feel good to know that I truly appreciate this great educator, coach, and human being. Thank you Coach, Mr. Pentimall, I am still on your team. Peace and joy to you and family and friends. Yours, Jim Koster.

Mr. "P" was a fantastic teacher who had the ability to reach students, even those without an actual interest in history because he knew how turn mundane facts into living, breathing action in your mind.
He retired from teaching but maintained his level of enthusiasm for everything he did from Township Commissioner to helping ressurect the annual parade in Leedom.
Even after being done with teaching, he continued to serve his community and especially looking after the inte3rests of it's children.
His unending devotion to scouting being a prime example.
Thank-you Mr. "P" for all the wonedrful things you have accomplished and you will always be remembered.

What an amazing legacy this wonderful man leaves behind! Mr. P. was by far one of the most caring people I've ever had the pleasure to encounter. From his many years helping to mold generations of kids through his teaching, to his many years of strong community service. As an adult I cannot think of another person who had the impact on me that he did. His teaching skills reached far beyond the classroom. I'm deeply sorry for the anguish and pain his family has to endure.

Mr. P was my teacher in Ridley South- I still remember the big paddle he had over the chalk board to threaten the unruley boys but he NEVER had to use it! Everyone loved his class and we all learned. He never forgot his students and years later would still say hello when I'd run into him. He was a great guy! Peace to his soul and his family. Diana Marini DiMattia

Jim Pentimall will be truly missed. He was a great history teacher, a great scout leader, and a great commissioner. He attacked history with an enthusiasm and excitement that was very infectious. His love and caring for his students was great and always very obvious. He was always very supportive of Scouting and Scouts, for years as a leader and later as a township commissioner. He would never miss even a single Eagle ceremony, and always spoke with great enthusiasm about the Scouting program and tremendous effort and achievement the new Eagle has made. And of course we'll all miss his endless (truly endless...) stories! I'm proud to have known him as a teacher, leader, and friend for more than 40 years - certainly a highlight of my life. Thank You, Mr. P!
