Walter F. Liddle, 74, of Delaware, died Thursday (March 28, 2013) at his home.
He was born Nov. 12, 1938, in Akron to Clyde and Mattie (Cox) Liddle. He graduated from Revere High School in Akron and the Columbia State University. He was an Ohio State Highway Patrolman for 26 years and retired as a lieutenant and was associated with Drivers Inc. for seven years. He was a member of Hiram Masonic Lodge and the Ohio State Highway Patrolmen Retiree's Association.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol, two daughters, Shelley Liddle of Lakeland, Fla., Rhonda (Erik) Albert of Oak Bluffs, Mass., a son, Kurt (Bridget) of Galena, six grandchildren, Bryce, Iris, Miles, Brayden, Zachary and Kylie, a brother, Dan (Katherine) of Akron and a sister in law, Barbara Liddle of Kimbolton.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin, and a brother, Burton.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Robinson Funeral Home where a Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Patricia Stout officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. Condolences may be expressed at
