Joseph Thomas Middleton, Sr.
Salisbury—Joseph Thomas Middleton, Sr., 83, of Salisbury, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at his residence after a long illness. Born in Pittsville, he was the son of the late Benjamin Houston Middleton and Maude Rogers Middleton.
He was a US Navy veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Delmarva Power and Light for 47 years.
He was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church and Bethesda Methodist Men for over 60 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Nancy Lee Duffy Middleton; two sons, Joseph Thomas Middleton, Jr. of Salisbury and Mark Duffy Middleton and his wife, Kimberly of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Alex Joseph Middleton and William Thomas Middleton; a brother, James Robert Middleton of Pittsville; and a cousin, William Thomas Middleton and his wife, Katharine of Salisbury.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Bethesda United Methodist Church with a visitation one hour prior to the service. There will also be a visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Holloway Funeral Home. Interment following the funeral service will be held at Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury with Rev. Dr. W. Daniel Rich officiating.
Contributions may be made in his memory to Bethesda United Methodist Church, 406 N. Division St., Salisbury, MD 21804.
