Arabel (Sue) Levering-Waterman
SEAL BEACH, Calif—Arabel (Sue) Levering-Waterman, 99, Seal Beach died Tuesday, April 2,2013, under the loving care of Hospice and Regency Care. Sue, a long time resident of Salisbury was born June 22,1913, to the late Victor and Gertrude Walter.
Survivors include her three stepsons, William Waterman of Orange County, Calif, Lee Levering of Citris Springs, Fla., and Jack Levering of Ocean Pines, Md.
She was preceded in death by former husbands, Stanley Levering and Ross Waterman.
Sue was a 1932, graduate of Perry High School in Pittsburgh, where she was named to the National Honor Society and served on the staff of the school yearbook "Perryscope". She graduated from Penn State University in 1936, where she was a member of the Delta Phi Beta Sorority. Following graduation, she began a short teaching career in Ohio, before marrying Stanley Levering and relocating to Salisbury. Sue was long time member of Asbury Methodist Church, worked in the Wicomico County Library System and began a long love affair in flower arranging and teaching floral arrangements, where she won a number of awards in Maryland, Arizona and California. Following the passing of Stanley Levering she married long time family friend Ross Waterman and moved West to Tuscon Ariz and finally on to Orange County, Calif., where she resided until her death.
A graveside tribute to Sue will be held at Spring Hill Memory Garden, 27260 Ocean Gateway, Hebron Md. on
Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 2 p.m. Friends and family are invited.
