Ann S. Rinck Obituary
Ann S. Rinck

Ocean Pines - Ann S. Rinck, age 93, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2019. Baptized Anna Marie Sioris, family and friends knew her as "Ann" or "Mimi".

Born on November 13, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the fourth child of Pantelis Sioris and Anna Richter. She was a graduate of Girls Commercial HS. She studied art and became a draftswoman in what was then a male-dominated field.

She married the late John J. Rinck in 1947. The early years of their marriage were spent in North Merrick, NY. They then lived in West Chester, PA before retiring to Ocean Pines thirty five years ago.

Ann is survived by three daughters: Janet Payot, Alise Furlong (Tom), and Kathi Stevens, all of Ocean Pines. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Ann was an award winning artist. Although painting was something that Ann always loved to do, she was able to devote more time to her art once she retired. She passed her appreciation of art on to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. When young ones came to visit, she gave them access to her art room. There they created all sorts of drawings and paintings that they shared with all of us. Nothing made Ann prouder than thinking that her "art genes" had been passed on to another generation. For many years, Ann was actively involved with the Art League of Ocean City. Whether her work was on display or she was helping at an art camp for students, she enjoyed being a part of the arts community in Ocean City. Ann was immensely proud of her family, and leaves nothing behind but beautiful memories.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in Ann's memory to the Art League of Ocean City, P.O. Box 3503, Ocean City, 21843.
