B J Boone formally, Betty Jane Lamm of Wilson N C
December 26, 2021
Anne and I were roommates at Fairfax Hall Jr. College in Waynesboro, VA. both our Jr and Sr years. We visited at her home in Pocomoke, and she visited me in Wilson a few times. She was my maid of honor at my wedding to Billy in 1954 and visited again later. When I visited her and her family before my marriage, her uncle took us out on his boat, which was docked behind the tomato plant. Her mom had fried us chicken. It was a beautiful trip and one of my favorite memories of her and her family. When she came to visit me, she brought the very best tomatoes in the world. Never had tomatoes that good before or since. I have so many more great memories of us, way too many to share here. She was a good, true friend, and I loved her like a sister. She kept in touch often and she and Jack, her husband sent us copies of his books, which I cherish. The perfume I wore on my wedding day, was the perfume her brother John, brought to her when he was in the service. That was, my something borrowed. I loved it then, and I love it now. Don´t remember the name, just that it was a small black bottle. Her dad always teased me about my southern accent, and I loved it. Her sister Ethel liked to hide in the closet to scare me while I was visiting. I loved them like family. I could go on and on but I´m sure I wouldn´t have enough room. I hadn´t heard from her so I started checking, and found the write up about her passing. My heart and prayers I send to all her family. God bless you all. I am 89, Billy passed in Aug. of this year, he was 87. We were married for 67 wonderful years, and know how it feels when someone who was and is, loved dearly, goes to Heaven. I have pictures I could send. If my email address doesn´t work, my address is B.J. Boone, 6031 S Premiere Ave. Homosassa, FL 34446
