Hallwood - Bernita T. Justis, 51, of Hallwood, died on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock.

Born in Nassawadox, Bernita was the daughter of the late William Henry and Lillie Mae Parks. She was reared by her grandparents, the late Brook and Blanche Parks, Sr. Bernita was married to Clinton Thomas Justis, Sr. Bernita began her career in 1987 at NASA Wallops Island as a student aide and worked until her demise. She worked for several contractors as an Electronic Technician supporting the NASA Sounding Rocket Program.

A funeral service was held at Nandua High School, Onley, on Saturday, June 9, 2018. Interment was in the Adams U. M. Cemetery, Parksley.

Bernita leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Clinton Thomas Justis, Sr.; stepchildren, Samantha Justis, Valerie Justis, Shonga White, Ashley and Ashton Moore; twelve step-grandchildren; step-mother, Helen Savage Trader; siblings, Terence Trader, Koran , Korey and Kira Savage; uncles, Brooks, Jr. and Jerry Parks; one great aunt; two great uncles; one aunt-in-law; three sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; several very dear friends; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Arrangements were made by Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Inc., Accomac.
