Clifford B. Laird
Oriole—Clifford Bennett Laird (PaPa) of Oriole, Maryland passed away peacefully on February 13, 2013 at
Aurora Senior Living. He was born on October 17,1920 in Baltimore, Maryland. He is preceded in
death by his devoted wife of 55 years, Thelma Pennington Laird: parents Clifford and Byrl Laird: two
sisters Isabel Burton and Nellie Mae Bozman and several special brother-in-Iaws.
He is survived by a daughter and her husband, Cathy and Brooks Holt: a son and his wife Kevin and
Jackie Laird all from Oriole, MDj four grandchildren and their spouses, Stephanie and David Cochran,
Heather and Allen Norfolk, Kevin and Ashley Laird, and Joshua Lalrd; six great-grandchildren:
Shannon, Megan, Kyle, Malanea ,Zachary and Masonj several brother and sister-in-Iaws, nieces,
nephews, cousins and a special cousin Hazel Turkington.
Clifford was an avid outdoorsman and waterman. He was best known for being the local TV
repairman. His favorite hobby was "talking" to everyone he met, didn't matter if he knew you or not.
His most enjoyable time was spent with his family and friends. For his family to treasure, he has left
us his journals where he recorded his daily thoughts. Clifford left us with many fond memories and
he is truly the end of an era.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 17th at 2:00 PM at the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne where friends may call one hour prior to service time. The Rev. William Kniceley will officiate. Interment will be held in St. Peters United Methodist Cemetery in Oriole.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hinman Funeral Home, 11673 Somerset Avenue, Princess Anne,Md. 21853 to help with funeral expenses.

Uncle Clifford, you are now a Beautiful Swimmer. You may have never had a dime but you and Aunt Thelma knew the true meaning of love. You gave her the sun every morning and the moon every night, along with you both helping to make me the person I am today. RIP I Love You
