Salisbury - Helen Myrtle Wooters, 88, of Salisbury, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018 at the Salisbury Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Norristown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Willard G. Prouse and Emma Seese Prouse.

"Tootsie" was a faithful member of Faith Community Church in Salisbury and had previously worked for C&P Telephone Company, PRMC in Food Service, and Eastern Sandwich Company. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and especially her church and family.

Helen is survived by her 3 children, Rev. Alvin Wooters (Becky) of Denton, NC, Judy Nicholson (Nick), and Paul Wooters (Brenda), all of Salisbury; 5 grandchildren, Rev. Joy Garman (Phil) of Kannapolis, NC, Debbie Wooters of Asheboro, NC, Beth Wooters of High Point, NC, Chrystie Reif (Ryan) of Baltimore, and Tyler Nicholson of Laurel, DE; 2 great-grandchildren, Wesley & Valorie; a great-great-grandchild, Paisley; a brother, Wilbur E. Prouse (Loretta) of Halifax, PA; a sister, Wanda E. Benner of Middleburg, PA; and several other extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Floyd Harold Wooters; 4 brothers, James, William, Rowland and Clarence Prouse; a sister, Mae Hoover, and a foster sister, Alice Malador.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018, at 2:00 pm at the Holloway Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be Rev. J. Harvey Dixon and her son, Rev. Alvin Wooters. Interment will be private by the family at Blades Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Faith Community Church, 219 N. Division St., Salisbury, MD 21801.
