Mary Jones

Salisbury - Mary Frances Donohue Jones, 79, of Salisbury, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 8, 2018 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Washington, D.C. on August 18, 1938 to her late parents, Peter Donohue Sr. and Frances Judith Phelps Donohue.

Mary was a stay at home mom to her eleven children. Later in life she owned and operated Jones Country Crafts with her late husband, John. She was a devoted wife and a devout Catholic parishioner. She enjoyed sharing her faith and caring for her family. Mary was fondly called "Nanny" by her twenty nine grandchildren. She was a welcoming soul that would share a cup of coffee and a laugh. She will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her dear husband, John H. Jones, Jr.; three loving children, Rita Teresa, Christopher David and Susan Jones; and her brothers, Peter, Tommy, Mickey and George Donohue.

She is survived by her dearly loved sister, Kathleen Barrett of Huntingtown; her beloved children, John H. Jones III of Cambridge, Ann Malone (Mark), Patty Thomas (Duffy), Steve Jones (Sharon), Mike Jones (Kim), Pete Jones (Susie), Becky Jones, and Rob Jones (Cindy) all of Salisbury; grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews she treasured.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Salisbury, where a visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Wicomico Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Coastal Hospice, P. O. Box 1733, Salisbury MD 21802.

Arrangements are in the care of Zeller Funeral Home in Salisbury.
