Wenona - Peggy Thomas Daniels, 93, of here passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md.

Born in Wenona on March 21, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Cooper and Leila (Webster) Thomas. She graduated from Deal Island High School in 1942. She worked for Paul Holland and Henry Wilson Seafood and later retired from Baltimore Life working as an insurance agent. Peggy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and an excellent cook and seamstress. She was a wonderful Christian lady who devoted her life to the Lord. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Wenona. In her later years, Peggy enjoyed Hallmark Movies, Happy Meals and late nights with The Golden Girls. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Daniels (1995) and son J. T. Daniels, Jr. (2004), and brother John Henry Thomas (2015).

She is survived by her daughter Sharon James and her husband, Walter "Butch" James of Salisbury, daughter-in-law, Jill Daniels of Princess Anne, grandchildren Leila (Aaron) Hudson, Alexis (Chris) Adkins, James "Trey" Daniels III, Carlie Daniels, and Jessica Scott, Mom Mom's little greats, Lance and Garret Hudson, brother Richard (Miriam) Thomas of Salisbury, and sister-in-law Joyce Thomas.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 12, 2018 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Wenona where friends may call from 12:30-2 P.M. Reverend David Webster will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery.
