Salisbury-Roger Leon " Buddy" Deal, (55) went to be with the Lord suddenly on Thursday, February 20, 2014. Born March 8, 1958, he was the son of Alton and Ruth Deal, Sr.

Buddy attended Parkside High School and Wor-Wic Community College. He worked at several restaurants and hotels in Maryland, California and Florida as Banquet Manager, most noted The Sheraton Inn, now Holiday Inn Salisbury. Buddy enjoyed cooking, drawing, reading the Holy Bible, traveling and spending time with family and friends. He was best known for his unique style of art and extraordinary culinary skills.

Buddy was active member of the Weeping Mary Baptist Church where he served as president of the Kitchen Committee, and a member of the Men's Choir and Sanctuary Choir.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by four sisters: Phyllis (Bike) Simms, Carol Deal, Stephanie (Tom) Collins and Alison Deal; one brother, Alton Deal, Jr. eight nieces and three nephews along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and many many friends.

Friends are invited to call Friday from 6-8pm. A funeral service will be held at 12noon on Saturday, March 1, with visitation beginning at 11am. All service will be held at Weeping Mary Baptist Church, Salisbury, Dr. Henry Brown, pastor will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to Bennie Smith Funeral Home.
