Flora Belle Jackson Holloway

Jessup-Flora Belle Jackson Holloway, 95, of here and formerly of Salisbury, departed this life on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Glen Burnie Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Hawkins and Emma Fuller Jackson. She was raised by her grandmother, the late Laura Fuller. Her husband, Amos Holloway, also preceded her in death.

She will be lovingly remembered by: one son, Samuel L. Thomas; one sister, Annabelle McClammy; three grandchildren, Gregory (Iona) Dashiell, Sr., Sherri Thomas-Mickens and Terrance Thomas; several great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, grandmother and husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, Joseph "Bunk" E. Jackson, and one daughter, Jacqueline "Jackie" D. Mitchell.

Mrs. Holloway will lie in repose on Saturday from 10 to 11 AM at First Baptist Church, 528 Booth Street and Delaware Avenue, Salisbury. The funeral service will begin at 11 AM. Rev. Dr. Lewis N. Watson will be the Officiating Pastor. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Park, Inc., West Road, Salisbury. A ministry of comfort and dignity is being provided by Lewis N.
