John Anthony Cook, age 89, died July 4 2014 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. Born in Brookville, PA he was the son of the late John Wesley and Margaret Hartnett Cook. He was preceded in death by his lifelong friend, Walter A. Brown. He is survived by his "adopted" family, Walter's sons and daughters, their spouses, children and grandchildren.

Soon after he and Walter moved to Ocean Pines, to continue his passion for organ playing, and to enjoy the beauty of the Eastern Shore. They also traveled many times to Rhode Island where he and Walter poured great effort into restoring a Wurlitzer pipe organ at the Stadium Theater Performing Arts Center in Woonsocket. Jack gave numerous performances and produced several CDs' to benefit the Stadium Foundation. Upon the completion of the restoration, he and Walter returned to Ocean Pines where he continued to share his talents at several area churches.
