She later worked at Bryan & Brittingham in Delmar and for H&R Block in Seaford and Salisbury. However, she will mostly be remembered for her many years behind the wheel of a school bus in Sussex County. For many years her husband, Jim was active with the National Guard and Army Reserves and she was always very supportive of his work. A member of Living Stones Church in Salisbury, she was a devout Christian. Participating in the prayer chains and ministering to others were considered her life's work.
