Shirley's Royal Jubilee Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae and especially her remaining September 1942 classmates send good memories of a life well lived. She was much loved by all.

Originally a friend of my mother's when they were both involved in the Trefoil Guild (Girl Guides) and the "Old, Old Nurses" group in the 1980s and '90s, Shirley soon became a friend of mine as well. She was a lovely lady, always the gracious hostess, with a great sense of humour and an interest in a wide variety of community activities.

My deepest condolences to John and all the family.I have the fondest memories of Fred and I visiting Shirley and spending our holidays at Maple Bay. She was the best of what Vancouver Island meant to us.
