William Frank HAAF

HAAF, William (Bill) Frank It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William, known as Bill on October 29th at the Delta Hospital at the age of 82, with his loving wife Louise by his side. Bill battled MDS the last year before peacefully continuing his journey. Born in Fox Valley, Saskatchewan on October 25, 1939, Bill was the youngest of 6 siblings. Predeceased by parents Frank and Maria, sisters Rose and Helen and brothers Tony, George and Joe. Bill leaves behind his wife of 34 years Louise, sons Terry (Cindy) Chris (Shelly) and 5 beautiful grandchildren, Hayley (Brad), Keeley, Kyle (Georgia), Emma and Kennedy. Bill was a gear box mechanic with Canadian Airlines for 25 years, often travelling around the world for work before retiring in 1998. He had many hobbies; bowling, golfing, carpet bowling, travelling, woodworking and puzzling, but his favourite hobby was spending time with family and friends. You would often see Gramps rain or shine at one of his 5 grandchildren's sporting events cheering on the ones who put the biggest smile on his face. Bill was very handy and could build anything out of a scrap piece of wood. A very patient man, you would often see Gramps doing another 1000 piece puzzle like it was 5 pieces listening to his music and just relaxing. Bill loved to travel. Multiple times a year you would see him and Louise jump on a cruise ship or airplane and travel around the world. Once a year Bill and Lou would always end up in Hawaii, Bills favourite place for a bowl of rice at Fatty's. Bill always liked a good party. A Hawaiian themed Celebration of Life will be held Friday, November 26th at 2pm at the Delta Golf Course. 11840 Ladner Trunk Road, Delta, BC. Covid 19 protocols will be in place. Double vaccination will be required and checked at the door. The Course will require masks to be worn while not seated at your table. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Bill's name can be made to the Delta Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Blood Services at blood.ca "Love You More"
