Willie Giron Morales, 79
Willie Giron Morales, 79, a Deming resident, passed away Monday June 10, 2013 at Mimbres Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will begin Sunday afternoon, June 16, 2013, at 5 o'clock at St. Ann's Catholic Church with the prayer vigil to follow at 7 o'clock. The Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 10 o'clock also at St. Ann's with Fr. Enrique Lopez Escalera, Pastor, officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Willie was born June 25, 1933 in Deming to Julieta Giron and Lorenzo Morales. He had worked as an electrician for many years and was the Director of Maintenance for the Deming Public Schools until his retirement in 1996.
He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and a past member of the League of United Latin American Citizens, Council 405.
Survivors include his wife, Catalina Morales of the home; a son, Willie Morales Jr. of Deming; 6 daughters, Julie Luna and husband Salomon of Albuquerque, Marty Garcia and husband Albert of Roswell, Yvonne Chavez and husband Daniel and Dolores Teague and husband Leon all of Deming, Yolanda Morales and Helen Morales of California; 2 brothers, Raul Morales of Norwalk, California, Ernie Morales of Deming; 2 sisters, Alice Vega of Rio Rancho and Gloria Villegas of Summerville, South Carolina; 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Sally Chaires and Maggie Mendoza; a brother, Robert Morales and step-mother, Bernie Lucero.
Pallbearers will be Tom Luna, Cam Teague, Leon Teague, Chevy Teague, Marc Garcia and Tiagunia Hayes.

A heart felt God Bless to a great friend. I still remember,as kids, playing on wooden saw benches; you slipped and broke a tooth. Your Mom felt very bad and chased me home.
