Richard Curwin Obituary
Jerusalem, Israel - December 26, 2018 at age 74. Richard was renowned educational consultant and author. He also served as a professor of education at the State University of New York at Geneseo, the National Technical Institute for the Deaf, San Francisco State University, and David Yellin Academic College of Education in Jerusalem. Richard also published close to two dozen books for educators, including the widely regarded Discipline with Dignity. He was always ready with a joke or a pun and loved listening to rock and roll.
Richard is survived by his sister Joyce; his sons David, Andrew, and Menashe (Daniel) and his beloved grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on December 28th in Israel. A remembrance will be held at 1 Pelham Rd on SUNDAY, January 13th from 2-5 PM for those who wish to pay their respects.

I met Rick at the Black Hills Seminars in 1998. At the end of his workshop, he came over and said 'you don't believe I word I just said' - which I replied "No - you don't know the kids I work with". He smiled and invited me to join him and other leaders of the of the conference for dinner. He challenged me on how I worked with you - that there are better ways. That conversation forever changed my life and my life's work the last 20 years. I know I thanked you in person - but once again, thanks my friend! God speed.
