DeHond, Carolina (Contreras)
Penfield: Friday September 12, 2014, at age 35. Carolina was a loving, caring and inspiring wife, mom, daughter, sister and friend. As the "Carolina" in Carolina's Fight for Life, she fought a rare and deadly cancer for over 6 years helping researchers gain new insights into this merciless disease. She will be remembered for her enthusiasm, courage, faith, love and beaming smile among many other wonderful qualities.
Survived by her husband, Craig; daughters, Victoria and Mikayla Sabel; step-children, Eric, Stephanie, and Noah; grandmothers, Ernestina Zagal and Marta Contreras; grandfather, Carlos Contreras; parents, Juan and Maria Contreras; sisters, Daniela (Amie) Contreras and Marianela Contreras; brothers, Benjamin (Joan) Contreras and Patricio (Priscilla) Contreras; father and mother-in-law, Roger and Elizabeth DeHond; brothers-in-law, Pieter (Lucy Olsen) DeHond and Paul DeHond; sister-in-law, Jennifer DeHond; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends.
Carolina was a graduate of Webster Christian High School. Carolina's life will be celebrated in a going home ceremony for her on Friday September 26th 2014 at First Bible Baptist Church located at 990 Manitou Rd, Hilton NY 14468. Doors will open at 5:30pm with the ceremony beginning at 7:00pm.
