today is june 24th. more than a month since jimmy passed. I hope you aren't offended by my leaving a message here after so long - I found out about his death a couple of weeks ago and only now have the courage to share how jimmy touched my life.
I am one of the hundreds of people he touched through his artistry at kittelbergers. my daughter ellen was priviledged to have him as our floral wizard/genious for her wedding august 29,2015.
I think hers was one of the last he made his magic happen.
I saw him a day or so before the wedding at the shop. I dropped off a "gift" of a silver plated punch bowl, ladle and boxes of his favorite candy- steevers dark chocolate melt aways. just a small (very) thank you for all he did for us. he said he would be coming to the wedding and be there to see all of the "Tuscany" mood we'd been putting together. he said he would be there to hold back the "drapes" for my daughter and her father to walk thru as they walked down the aisle. but it was not to be.
jimmy was recommended to us by Anthony Mancuso at the m.a.g. . they had known each other for years thru business (& friendship) .
I never could have guessed what a gift jimmy was to us then. he made me (the mother of the bride) feel confident/happy/at peace with his guidance and patience dealing w/ my anxiousness over choosing the perfect flowers and he brought together my daughters' vision for her day.
just so you know I am not a person who shares my feelings. but I wanted to let you know how jimmy touched our lives. he was a truly special person and I am so happy I got to meet him.
thank you and his light still shines.

I'm so sorry to say good-by to such a beautiful man, inside and out. We've all seen the amazing creative side of Jimmy, but those who were lucky enough to have known him, know of the beautiful heart for all that he possessed. Decorate heaven Jimmy like you've decorated so many lives on earth. At our daughters wedding, people were taking pictures of all the floral arrangements Jimmy made. They'd never seen or never known such beauty and passion for all that he touched.

Bruce, I thank you and Jimmy for allowing me to visit at this personal time in your lives, that you so beautifully shared. We pray for you now as you walk this walk with beautiful memories to sustain you. We have been blessed to have had you both in our lives. He is probably "dressing" the tables in Heaven right now, smiling down on us, with his magnificent ability to do just that. Love you

Bruce, I am so very sorry that he is gone. We all lost a very special human being. If I sit quietly and focus I can almost hear the warm, boisterous, voice and laugh. We were all fortunate to have him pass through our lives. Please take care of yourself Bruce, for you have been through a lot, and may God bless you. I am sorry that because of the potential crowd and my knee problems, I will not be able to be there to tell you any of this in person. Also, I am having a tooth extracted on Thursday. You will remain in my prayers/thoughts for a long time to come.
